Premium App Requests - Highspot, Product Designer
A new feature that Highspot wanted to develop, in which a business could add another business’ working Spot into their own Highspot account, to use as a template for training or information. Some Spots were free to add, but the Premium accounts would have to go through an approval process by a Highspot admin. From there, accounts can be approved, denied, or later revoked if previously approved, and vice versa. I was the lead designer, and worked with my manager, and the Partner Crew that consisted of a TPM, and three engineers. We wanted to make sure that revoking a domain was a confident decision, and added a required acknowledgement check box to proceed, as this would remove all the data that customer added to their Spot via the Premium App.
Converting Desktop to Mobile View - Highspot, Product Designer
As a new product designer, I was given the task of trying my hand at converting what was just-an-idea-of-a-feature, into what it could look like for mobile. Since this wasn’t a final design to work from, I had a bit more freedom in the design. I tested drawers for meeting details and made additional navigation tabs scrollable with a touch of a finger. After I created the mobile screens, I was moved to a different crew. Engagement was eventually built, but the design ultimately changed.
Adding a “Watermark” Label to Confidential Content - Highspot, Product Designer
After I created a watermark for confidential content, we needed an indicator for the content thumbnails in modals. With the help of my manager, and an engineer, I worked through the idea to create a small loading bar on the content that was selected as confidential in it’s settings. As the content was being attached, the label is being loaded at the same time. The label was clear and didn’t get in the way of the thumbnail’s readability. We also added a small processing statement at the bottom of the modal.
This was a highly requested feature from various customers that we were able to create in just about a month. I had so many ideas I created for this; it was a fun and fresh feature based on other components we already had.
Custom Environment Branding - Highspot, Product Designer
Highspot allowed upgrades to be made to customer's environments with their brand colors and logos. I was in charge of all requests, and had to make the changes manually. With this settings page, we could allow the admin of the account make changes themselves. I had done over 1000 custom environments during my time at Highspot.
I worked with my manager and an engineer that built a prototype for this page. It allowed the admin of the account to add their brand colors, upload logos, and choose color packs for the data visualizations throughout. They could publish and unpublish their brand, leaving Highspot's default branding if they chose to do so.
